   Spot the Difference Competition

   Forms are available from the Carnival Office at 40p each

 

Friday 27th June.   Kids Disco at the Comrades Club.

                             Toddlers – 5 years: 5.30 – 6.30 p.m

                             6 – 9 years              6.45 – 8.00 p.m

                             10 – 16 years          8.00 – 10.00 p.m

 

Saturday 28th June   Duck Race

                    1 p.m   Starting at Old Tyne Bridge finishing at Alston Arches

                                Weather and river permitting.

                                 Ducks £1 each available from the Carnival Office.

                                 1st Prize £100,  2nd Prize £50,   3rd Prize 5 x £10

                    

                                   Kids Party in the Park

                      2 p.m.   Tickets £2 each

                                   Bouncy Castle – Kids Entertainment

                                   Hot Dogs - Refreshments

 

Sunday 29th June. Raft Race (weather permitting)

  1 p.m.  Starts under A69 Road Bridge finishing at Alston Arches

  Teams of 4 persons MUST BE IN FANCY DRESS

  Enter at the Carnival Office

 

Monday 30th June Car Treasure Hunt  

                 6 p.m Start at Fair Hill Car Park  £2.50 per person

  to include Pie and Pea Supper at Haltwhistle Masonic Hall

 

Tuesday 1st July Nothing arranged for today at the moment, check with Carnival Office for any changes.

 

Wednesday 2nd July Carnival Quiz Night

              8.30 p.m Comrades Club Teams of Four £5 entry per team

 

Thursday 3rd July BBQ & Fun Night

  Haltwhistle Swimming & Leisure Centre

 

Friday 4th July  Afternoon Tea Dance

 2 p.m Haltwhistle Masonic Hall, Tea and refreshments

  Tickets £2 each from Carnival Office

 

 6.p.m Bowls Competition

  Haltwhistle Bowling Club all ages welcome

 

Saturday 5th July Wheelbarrow/ Pram Race TEAMS OF THREE

  Must be in fancy dress.

  Starts at Grey Bull Car Park finishes at Station Car Park

  Pub to pub plus a task or two

  12 noon start be Prompt

 

Sunday 6th July    CARNIVAL DAY

 

12 NOON.  Start of Procession from Fire Station, heading down Park Road, along Westgate, down Lanty’s Lonnen, then makes its way up Front Road, over the bridge to the Showfield for the Prize Presentation and Entertainment.

 On the Showfield

Vintage Engines, cars, motorcycles and stalls

Prudhoe Community Band, Cumberland Wrestling,

Climbing Wall, Archery, Polly & Jolly’s Comedy Car

Fancy Dress Competitions, Hot and Cold refreshments,

Family Funfair Rides.

 

PLEASE NOTE ONLY TRAFFIC TAKING PART IN THE CARNIVAL PROCESSION MAY USE THE OLD BRIDGE

 

Evening Disco’s Over 18’s only

at Haltwhistle Comrades and Working Men’s Club

£2 pay at the door.
